Magnetic and Transport Properties of U(2)Pt(2)In Single Crystals
Magnetic and Transport measurements are reported on U(2)Pt(2)In single crystals, that crystallize in the tetragonal Zr(3)Al(2)-type structure. Magnetization shows enhanced Pauli paramagnetism, reaching a broad maximum at 10K along c that indicates a spin fluctuation behaviour, as it is also suggested by the magnetoresistance results. Thermopower shows a minimum over 25K that is related to the Kondo temperature.
