Comparing two models simulating the adsorption/desorption of vocs onto/from indoor materials on experimental data
Two mathematical models, the 'hybrid' and the 'two-sink' model, of adsorption/desorption of VOCs on indoor materials were applied to simulate relevant dynamic chamber experiments. The models performance was investigated towards the experimental data with emphasis on the slow desorption phase. The unsatisfactory reproduction of the measured data reveals the need of developing more comprehensive, physically sound models.
