Abstract

Targets of 123 Te were required as part of a systematic study of (n, alpha) reactions and also for the investigation into the 123Te(n, alpha)120Sn 'branching' reaction during stellar nucleosynthesis of the elements. A rectangular layer 50x60 mm (2) was requested, to fit, at an angle, into a square neutron beam guide at the ILL reactor in Grenoble.
