Tensile Mastercurve and Modelling of the Non-linear Tensile Behaviour of Ceramic Matrix Composites
The damage indicators in ceramic matrix composites, when obtained from the tensile mastercurve, can be employed to model the material non-linear tensile response in the frame of continuum damage mechanics. A shear-lag model gives a relationship between the macroscopic damage indices and the constiuents properties. However, the models don't predict the scatter in the residual stress-state.
