Analytical Methods For The Detection of Genetically Modified Organisms in Food-Possibilities and Limits
An overview will be given on analytical methods their scope and limitations for the detection of genetically modified organisms in food. The results on the validation studies coordinated by the JRC on PCR-based and protein-based methods will be presented with a discussion on its use in practise. AN outlook will indicate further needs for method development.
