Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

Abstract

SIS was established in 1996 as one of ECVAMs high priority activities. It is designed as a unique information tool on alternative methods to animal experiments with particular emphasis on non-animal toxicity test development and validation. SIS is characterized by factual and evaluated information. It aims to provide all the information that enables users to assess the usefulness of specific technique for their own purposes, including decision-making processes. Therefore, in addition to full method descriptions, more detailed information is made available.
