Abstract

Project possibilities and ways were shown which permit clear explanations for adhesion difficulties and/or accelerated signs of aging as rapidly as possible on the basis of measurable variables. This applies not only in the case of technical production statuses but also for clarification of complaint. Various analysis procedures never used before in the steel industry were examined to clarify problems of adhesion and aging with organically coated fine sheet. The procedures used were: Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic applications; gas-chromatographic methods; thermo-analytical methods; modern surface analysis methods (SNMS); x-ray thin layer diffractometric procedures.
