The role of the JRC from the European Commission in the European Structural Integrity Networks AMES, ENIQ and NESCFunded under: EAEC-NFS 2
Due to the reduction in many countries of the research budget for nuclear safety several European institutions and organizations and the Institute for Advanced Materials of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission have developed co-operative programmes now organized into 'Network' for mutual benefit. They include utilities, engineering companies, research and development laboratories and regulatory bodies. These networks are all organized and managed in a similar way, I.e. like the successful Prgramme for the inspection of Steel components (PISC).
