Abstract

The perspectives for the coming decades are favorable for the full development of energy efficiency demand side activities in the EMS sector, as far as the liberalization of the market will be extended and the competition will increase. In this context, the availability of effective analysis tools, such as the database EuroDEEM and related analysis modules, will become more and more important. The supply of energy efficiency assistance tools to Small & Medium industrial and tertiary enterprises in the field of EMSs needs to be supported also by Audit and Retrofit schemes, tested for effectiveness and viability. This report illustrates the approach of EuroDEEM in tackling efficiency aspects of EMSs and the need for related efficiency data collection by means of advanced Audit schemes.
