In the present work advanced reprocessing of fuel solution, obtained from dissolution of a commercial LWR fuel, is discussed. From the dissolved fuel, uranium and plutonium were recovered using small scale PUREX reprocessing. The raffinate containing fission products, including lanthanide's, and the minor actinides were used as the DIAMEX process in which minor actinides and lanthanide's were separated from the bulk of the fission products. The lanthanide and actinide fraction obtained from this process was then subjected to a SANEX process in which the MA were separated from the lanthanide's.
