  • Nitrous Oxide Emissions From a Coastal Catchment in the Delta of the PO River: Measurement and Modelling of Fluxes From a Mediterranean Lagoon and Agricultural Soils

Agricultural activities represent one of the mst important sources of nitrous oxide, a gas with smaller atmospheric concentrations than CO2 but with considerably higher greenhouse properties. The objective of the present thesis is to contribute to the understanding of the processes involved in the formation and emission of Nitrous Oxide, which is the basis for the development of strategies aiming at the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
