Abstract

This report gives additional information on the stability of the sediment reference material, CRM 601, certified for its extractable contents of some trace elements, following a standardized sequential extraction procedure developed in 1994-96. The report contains the results of the original stability study and the results of the extended stability experiment. In addition, new data obtained with a revised sequential extraction scheme are gien as indicative values.

Extractable contents of Cd, Cr, Ni, Pb and Zn in CRM 601 following the modified three-step sequential extraction scheme. It is emphasized that these data are given as indicative values. Results expressed as mass fractions. .
