The working group has underlined that there is a recurrent problem with fakes in the textile and apparel European Industries - this has been considerably damaging the economy of the enterprises and of the states of the European union.

The objective of the working groups was to identify the anti-fake interventions within the programme of research and of technological development of the textile and apparel industry.

To be able to distinguish the fake goods from the original ones, it is necessary to improve and to readapt the existent instruments and to devise new ones.

The goods must be identified and the identification must be carried out in documents that accompany the products.

Information in the documents must match the product.

An interactive database will be created to identify and mark the products and a limited number of people can access such database. database.
