The European Strategy for Reducing Standby Losses in Consumer Electronics: Status and Results
The European Commission has implemented a comprehensive strategy for the reduction of stand-by losses of consumer electronics. The paper describes the results so far achieved, and in particular the barriers and the technical details for the agreements on set top boxes and power supplies. This because these types of equipment are particularly difficult to address with conventional policy instruments.
