The quality of Italian drinking waters: Hardness

This research has been carried out aiming to realise an atlas of total hardness in drinking waters and to report on the levels of water hardness presently found in the drinking waters supplied to consumers. A questionnaire has been set up and distributed to the public authorities and water quality control. The study summarises data from 70% of Italian municipalities and approximately half of the total population.
