Results of inelastic neutron scattering experiment on a single crystal of U(O)(.2) (La{0.15} Y{0.85})(0.8) Te are presented. Recently, bulk measurements in this material have been interpreted as showing evidence for crystal-field (CF)-like behaviour (Phys. Rev. B 53 (1996) 14987). No evidence for any CF transition was found in our experiment. On the other hand, ferromagnetic correlations with a short spatial extent are present. The dispersion of the acoustic phonons in the <111> direction, which is anomalous in UT(e), shows "normal behaviour" in the dilute material.
