This inventory summarises replies received in response to questionnaires distributed to the COST 99 representatives in each of the 28 member countries in 1995, 1998 and 2000. For each country major food composition databases and their producers are described. For each institution, a list of publications is provided. Publications may be food composition tables printed as books, provided as electronic data files, or distributed together with software applications.
