Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

This report makes a significant contribution to the identification of better approaches to risk governance. It is not, however, a panacea; rather, it is intended to stimulate debate, promote a common understanding of the issues and reveal what is at stake if these issues are not properly addressed. The report will be of wide interest, in particular to those whose professional or private activities impinge directly or indirectly on risk governance (eg, politicians at local, regional, national or supra-national levels, industrial leaders, public authorities, scientists, technologists, environmental groups, NGOs, etc). If it succeeds in stimulating more focused and productive debate among the interested parties, the report will have largely achieved its objectives.
