Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

This report forms part of the deliverables for a SAI study entitled "Pathfinder Study on the Synergy of Satellite Navigation and Earth Observation", undertaken by Nottingham Scientific Limited, that was carried out from April to July 1999. The purpose of the study was to assist the SSSA Unit with the definition of the ASTRON project. To this end, the project was directed at giving an overview of the status of technology in satellite navigation and at identifying user applications, giving particular emphasis to the convergence of information from Earth Observation and Satellite Navigation Systems.

The current release 1.0 of this report is reproduced in a very limited number of copies for internal use of the SSSA Unit only, as a reference set of presentation slides. A further release is envisaged within 2,000 that will focus on applications and services, include updated information and provide a more consistent and rich in text material.
