Abstract

A considerable amount of resources has been devoted at the international level during the last few decades, to the generation of experimental databases in order to provide reference information for the understanding of reactor safety relevant phenomenology and for the development and/or assessment of related computational methodologies. The extent to which these databases are preserved and can be accessed and retrieved is an issue of major concern. This paper provides an outline of the JRC databases preservation initiative and a description of the supporting web-based informatic platform STRESA.
