Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

All our activities produce many different waste products which, directly or indirectly, in due time are deposited in the earth's sediments. For this reason, we can consider the sediments as our "prints": their observation allows us to trace our human path. A lot of examples permits to understand and to reconstruct some recent events together with the behaviours and the changes happened in the last centuries. The knowledge of the meaning of these prints should be use for moving properly towards the future.
