This paper presents both the results of surveillance tests according to the frame of programme, existing in Ukraine, and their analysis. Ni-content in weld metals of 7 out of 11 WWER-1000 type power energetic units operating in Ukraine now is shown to exceed the standard one. It is surveillance samples made of weld metal that concentrate our primary attention. We have also revealed the neutron flux density effect on the physical-mechanical characteristics of vessel steels.

Now 13 nuclear power energetic units operate in Ukraine. Table 1 shows the years of their putting into operation. As it is seen 11 energetic units of WWER -1000 type are the basis of nuclear power engineering of Ukraine. The safe operation life time of a reactor unit is determined by the radiation embrittlement rate of the reactor pressure vessel (RPV). WWER-1000 reactor is a welded construction, consisting of 6 shells and a bottom. It is made of 15Cr2NiMoVA-A pearlitic steel. .
