Abstract

Aspects of quantitative photoemission in actinide research are discussed. In particular the influence of instrumental factors, peak-to-background and shape on the line intensities are addressed. The different methods to deduce elemental concentrations from line intensities are shown. Examples of quantitative analysis of actinide bulk compounds and thin films are given.
