Abstract

The INCOLOY 800 alloy is increasingly being used as a steam generating material of nuclear power reactors. Its high strength and corrosion resistance properties in the presence of high-temperature water or steam make this alloy a suitable candidate material to construct the steam generator of future thermonuclear fusion reactors.

In this project, a gas permeation technique has been used to investigate deuterium transport in INCOLOY 800. .
