Sensitivity analysis in calibration and reduction of environmental models: Eutrophication case studies
The aim of the present publication is to investigate how sensitivity analysis (SA) methods can be employed to achieve model reductions that facilitate the interpretation of temporal changes in the state of the environment. This includes model reductions undertaken to enable model calibration to empirical data. In addition, it is investigated how sampling frequency and temporal resolution of the mechanistic models of runoff and nitrogen turnover.
