The SEVESO 2000 European Conference was co-organized by the Hellenic Republic, Ministry for the Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works and the European Commission, Joint Research Centre, Major Accident Hazards Bureau. It was the first European Conference on risk management issues, concerning the implementation of �SEVESO� directives. The SEVESO 2000 European Conference provided the opportunity for the presentation of the latest scientific developments, various opinions and ideas, and exchange of experience in the fields of risk management, legislation and emergency response to industrial accidents.
