Examination of the current section using electronic cyclotronic waves in tokamaks
Among the scenarios, of which the aim is to set up and examine a totally non-inductive and stationary current section, the association of electronic cyclotronic waves and low hybrid appears a particularly promising avenue. The technological development of high-performance systems, which are capable of producing continuous power over a long duration within the electronic cyclotronic frequency range, is paving the way towards generalization of this type of discharge, falling within the scope of research on the concept of the advanced tokamak.
