TRANSURANUS is a computer for the thermal and mechanical analysis of fuel rods in nuclear reactors developed at the European Institute for Transuranium elements, Karlsruhe (DE). In the paper an overview of the latest development of the statistic version is given. For WWER fuel configurations, the empirical modelling of fuel densification and swelling is described. Its uncertainties are discussed in the context of statistical variations in linear heat rate, fuel inner and outer radius as well as thermal conductivity.
