The certification of the contents (mass fractions) of Ce, Dy, Er, Eu, Gd, Ho, La, Lu, Nd, Pr, Sc, Sm, Tb, Tm, Y, Yb, Th and U in aquatic plant BCR-670

Funded under: FP5-GROWTH

This report describes the preparation of an aquatic plant (Lemna minor) reference material, CRM 670, the homogeneity and stability studies and the analytical work performed for the certification of the contents of rare earth elements (REE) and two additional elements.

The report contains all the results and gives the methods used to certify the contents of the 16 rare earth elements: scandium (Sc), yttrium (Y), lanthanum (La), cerium (Ce), praseodymium (Pr), neodymium (Nd), samarium (Sm), europium (Eu), gadolinium (Gd), terbium (Tb), dysprosium (Dy), holmium (Ho), erbium (Er), thulium (Tm), ytterbium (Yb) and lutetium (Lu), and of the elements thorium (Th) and uranium (U) (mass fractions expressed as micro-g/kg on a dry matter basis).

Indicative values are given for the content of 12 trace elements: arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), caesium (Cs), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), antimony (Sb), selenium (Se) and zinc (Zn). n).
