Abstract

The main aim of the ASTERISM II project was to extend a prototype database to encompass data arising from the 4th Framework "Source Term cluster" projects of the Nuclear Fission Safety programme. The ASTERISM software is able to store data and information concerning scientific or other project results. Its user interface allows the user to edit data, insert images and documents, and to display, access and sort the data through pre-programmed queries. Issues associated with the further development of the archive to allow for the inclusion of all nuclear fission safety areas (e.g. core degradation and containment) were also addressed. The Source Term archive includes most of the data, models and software produced by the projects of the 4th Framework Source Term Cluster.
