Abstract

Projects in metrology in chemistry (MiC) are ongoing in most East European and pre-accession countries. The main objective of the present IRMM-JRC project is the coordination of the efforts to create the systems of metrology in chemistry in the participating countries harmonised with legislation and practices of the EU.

The additional objectives are:
- Joint use of the measurement capabilities in chemical measurements in participating countries and avoiding unnecessary duplication of efforts.
- Interlaboratory comparison and harmonised systems of the metrological evaluation of the quality of measurements.
- Joint research in the field of MiC. MiC.
