Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

In the framework of Directive 67/548/EEC, substances that may be marketed in a form giving rise to the danger of inhalation exposure should be tested to determine the particle size distribution of the substance. In addition, the determination of the ability of the material to form airborne dust is essential for an appropriate risk assessment. This guidance document, prepared by the European Chemicals Bureau, sets out some relevant test methods, and is presented to facilitate its consultation and use by interested parties.
