Abstract

The Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) is used to manage and control the area-based agricultural subsidies of the Common Agricultural Policy. The establishment of the LPIS in the candidate countries is an enormous task, involving some 70 million agricultural parcels. This report presents an overview of the status of the establishment of the said system as at September 2002 in the thirteen Candidate Countries, followed by a dedicated section per country providing more detail.
