Abstract

The elastic scattering cross-sections for {6}Li and {7}Li ions backscattered from oxygen have been measured at energies below 5000 keV for {6}Li and below 6000 keV for {7}Li at a laboratory detection angle of 165 degrees. The threshold energies above which Rutherford backscattering becomes invalid are 3600 keV for {6}Li and 4000 keV for {7}Li. Above these energies the cross-sections decrease below Rutherford. The cross-section data are presented in tabular and graphical form.
