Abstract

This workshop was organised by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre for official food laboratories of EU candidate countries. The aim of the workshop was to allow those countries to present the work programmes of their official food laboratories and their view on the interpretation of analytical results. A particular focus was put on:
- practice in calculation and possible correction for recovery;
- kinds of residues and contaminants being frequently measured;
- estimation of measurement uncertainty;
- report of measurement uncertainty and recovery.
