The European Commission has launched a new series of surveys, modelled on the Standard Eurobarometer, in the countries applying for European Union membership. The Candidate Countries Eurobarometer (CC-EB) continuously tracks support for EU membership, and the change of attitudes related to European issues, in the Candidate Countries.

The present report covers the results of the survey conducted in November 2002 in the 13 Candidate Countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Turkey. The technical specifications of the survey, and a full statistical analysis of the responses to each question, are contained in annexes to the report. This opinion poll has been carried out at the joint request of the Directorate General for Research and Directorate General Agriculture.
