Impact of parallel transport on turbulence in tokamak SOL
This slide presentation concludes that the Scrape-Off Layer (SOL) turbulence is similar to core turbulence and is well diagnosed. Interchange modes in the SOL of tokamaks are damped by parallel transport; Zonal Flow magnitude increases with t// (linear and non-linear effects). If t// < t//* then turbulence is not controlled by Zonal Flow.
