In April 2002 a project on the watershed of the Medjerda was launched within the general framework of the Tunisian national strategy on the application of recommendations proposed by the Tunisian Agenda 21 on sustainable development.

The main objectives of this project are:
- to contribute to the sustainable development of the Medjerda watershed thanks to the control of surface water quality;
- to realise a management plan for water quality at the scale of the watershed and;
- to monitor the implementation by a coordinating institution for the watershed.

This report briefly introduces the watershed in question. This is followed by a detailed description of the model used. The third part of the report is devoted to defining the parameters of the model, the fourth chapter to the results of the modelling. Last but not least, the fifth part covers the implementation of the scenarios.
