Simulation of environment effects on retro-reflectors in ITER
This document contains the slides to a presentation held at the 10th International Conference and School on Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion. It covers the following: The use of retro-reflectors (RR) will be envisaged for two plasma diagnostics in ITER: i) poloidal and ii) toroidal multichannel polarimetry. i) poloidal polarimetry is supposed to operate at a single wavelength of 118 mu m  ii) toroidal polarimetry will make use of a dualfrequency CO2-laser interferometer/polarimeter , operating at wavelengths of 10.6 and 9.27 mu m.
