Abstract

This fifth international symposium FISA-2003 was organised as conclusion of the 71 multipartners projects in the area of reactor safety, which were launched under the specific programme Nuclear Fission of the Euratom framework programme 1998-2002. In addition, a total of 20 invited lecturers of generic interest were presented at this symposium, some of which related to the next Euratom framework programme. The audience consisted of approximately 300 experts, representatives of the end-user from inside and outside the EU Member States.
