Abstract

Contrary to common understanding the electrical power necessary to run the cryoplant associated with the future fusion reactors with a fully superconducting magnet system and cryopumps is not negligible.
This electrical power is part of the electrical power dedicated to the so called auxiliary power. This auxiliary power in addition to the power for additional heating of the plasma, constitute the so-called recycled electrical power of the reactor
