This paper gives an overview of Tore Supra results obtained in most recent experiments. Specific RT control is routinely used to prevent overheating of RF antennae and PFCs, and MHD instabilities. In terms of plasma duration and injected energy, a LH energy of 1 GJ has been injected into zero loop voltage plasmas lasting more than 6 minutes. High power experiments combining ICRH and LHCD have been carried out at plasma density close to the Greenwald limit (fG=0.7�0.93), and bootstrap fraction of about 20%. These plasmas, exhibiting a high confinement quality (improvement factor HHy2 up to 0.8), could be a good candidate for ITER steady-state operation. So far, the highest injected energy was 470 MJ: 4 MW/65 s ICRH pulse during a plasma sustained by 3 MW of LHCD. A higher ICRH power of 6.3 MW has been also injected into a LHCD plasma target with 3 MW of LH power during 20 s. Pellet fuelled LH driven discharges lasting up to 2 minutes have been also demonstrated. One hundred and fifty-five pellets have been injected into the plasma under feedback for maintaining the density target value of 2.5x10{19} m{-3}. Finally, novel physics phenomena related to continuous operation with Ti close to Te are reported, including: i) substantial synergy effect between ECCD and LHCD; ii) new stationary regime characterised by non-linearly coupled temperature and current oscillations; iii) characterisation of the turbulent particle pinch, using both very long LHCD pulses and ICRH modulations.
