New ways to improve longitudinal temperature homogeneity of slabs in reheating furnaces
In modern reheating furnaces the overheating of slab ends are typically more than 50 degree Celsius, and the dissymmetry of temperature profile about 20degree Celsius. These defects produce bad thickness for heads and tails, scale incrustation on overheating parts and difficulties to insert sheets in the rolling mill with high speed.
