  • Inter-Laboratory validation study of five different commercial ELISA test kits for the determination of peanut residues in cookie and dark chocolate

Abstract

The Joint Research Centres (JRC) of the European Commission (EC) co-ordinated the international inter-laboratory comparison for the validation of 5 different peanut ELISA test kits. The inter-laboratory comparison was completed by 1 December 2003.
Objectives:
- Performance test
- Detectability of conventional, contaminated samples at fourdifferent concentrations
- Feasibility of quantitation in the low mg-kg{-1} range (0-10{-1} food product)
- Comparability of quantitative results
- Determination of matrix effects on quantification
