The document contains the slides to a presentation held at the 11th European Fusion Theory Conference. It covers the following topics: Context
- A peakkt density profile is attractive
- to improve the fusion rate, proportional to the square of the density
- to self-generate a large fraction of non-inductive current for continuous operation
A peaked density profile widely observed, nevertheless ITER predictions made with a flat profile.
Why are peaked profiles observed?%: Need to improve prediction for ITER.
Control of �impurity� transport is also a key issue but this is not mentioned in this talk.
