Signposts towards eGovernment 2010

Funded under: FP6-IST

People around Europe submit their tax declaration electronically. Public service cards are starting to appear in wallets, helping us to obtain official documents at a click. New technologies of this kind - called eGovernment - save millions of hours and therefore money.
The book summarises the discussions of the eGovernment subgroup, which held meetings in 2005 addressing the future of eGovernment in the 2010 horizon. It deals with four priority policy areas; four signposts to guide work towards eGovernment 2010. Within each of them, the mid-term focus has been taken in order to achieve visible benefits for citizens, business and the society at large.
