  • Co-ordination action on human rights violations - CAHRV, Report on the state of the research on prevalence of interpersonal violence, and its impact on health and human rights available in Europe

Interpersonal violence as a violation of human rights is an issue that has emerged recently and has started to be considered as a public problem for individuals, society and states. This has its origin in the universal declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948 and by successive declarations of the human rights of specific groups of populations such as women and children.
