Abstract

This inception report provides the overview on how a project would be managed in order to achieve the predefined goals. The CARDS 2004 - Croatia project on the "Development of National Metrology, Standardisation, Conformity Assessment and Accreditation System" is providing targeted assistance on predefined topics having as overall objective further development of the quality infrastructure in Croatia. The intervention logic in this framework is based on three key objectives, these being: - Strengthen the national quality infrastructure, through assisting in strategic and legislative alignment efforts, as well as enhancing collaboration between all relevant stakeholders; - Provide assistance in further improvement of the technical expertise, in the areas of standardisation, chemistry dimension of the metrology and related conformity assessment topics; - Raising public awareness on the importance of the proper functioning of the national quality infrastructure.
