ERA-NETs on stage
The objective of the ERA-NET scheme, launched in 2002 under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), is to enhance coordination of national or regional research programmes in the Member States and Associated States. By improving the coordination of national and regional research programmes across Europe, the scheme contributes significantly to the structuring of the European Research Area. It enables national systems to exchange good practices in programme management and take on tasks collectively that would not have been possible to tackle independently by single national programmes.
