Study on networks of women scientists: Response to survey on the setting up of a European Platform for networks of women scientists
This document was prepared for the European Commission (DG Research, Women and Science Unit) by Bradley Dunbar Associates Ltd, as part of the Study on Networks of Women Scientists. It provides an overview of the response received from the 49 networks of women scientists who responded to the survey conducted under the study. In general, the networks agreed with the overall aims of the platform: policy shaping; networking and coordination; supporting women scientists; and information and awareness. An overwhelming majority of the networks thought that influencing policy at a national, European and institutional level should be the most important objective of the platform, followed by networking and awareness-raising.
